The City of Redwood City invites you to apply for the position of Senior Long Range Planner within the Community Development Department’s Planning Division. This position, which will be focused primarily on long range planning activities, is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to lead or participate in numerous long-range efforts underway including:

• Greater Downtown Area Plan, an update of the City’s vision for Downtown Redwood City and adjacent neighborhoods
• Update to the City’s Historic Preservation Ordinance
• Development of objective design standards
• Implementation of the City’s Housing Element and related policy initiatives
• Research, tracking, and implementation of new State laws
• Development of policies and standards to address climate resilience in coordination with Engineering and Public Works Departments
• Regular maintenance and updates to City’s zoning code and General Plan

In addition to long range planning activities, this position will be assigned a limited number of current planning projects depending on Planning Division needs. The position allows for a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office and 2 days working remotely).

 

Position Summary

Under general direction of the Director of Transportation for the Bus Transit division, contributes to the mission of Golden Gate Transit by ensuring that Golden Gate Transit has the best possible trained Bus Operators. Instruct Bus Operators for safe operations of vehicles, uniform compliance, and enforcement of District rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Document Bus Operator Students’ performance. Must be willing to work shift assignments from Santa Rosa, Novato, San Rafael, or San Francisco Division locations. May be assigned to perform other duties.
 

Essential Responsibilities

• Conducts training class for newly hired bus operators, including obstacle course, classroom and “over the road” instruction by delivering standardized curriculum.
• Develops classroom curriculum, including itinerary, lesson plans, training and testing materials and implement training for newly hired and existing bus operators.
• Acts as designated D.M.V. examiner in the testing and certification of bus operators; or coordinates with D.M.V. to get student operators V.T.T. cards and license conversations.
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation on every facet of training and testing for each student as required and mandated by state and federal governments.
• Performs individual evaluations of student operators progress in the training program.
• Conducts ongoing Verification of Transit Training Classes for existing bus operators and other commercially licensed employees who need to maintain a V.T.T.
• Supervises Bus Operators fitness -for -duty as they report to work, including observing for divergencies from normal behavior patterns, uniform appearance, grooming and possessions of driving credentials and medical card.

• Works with the Director of Training and Safety on compliance with D.O.E., D.O.T., and D.M.V. training and documentation requirements
• Develops and implement minimum standards for bus operator trainees.
• Monitors progress of trainees and provide periodic counseling and progress evaluation.
• Conducts refresher training for bus operators returning to work after extended absence.
• Testifies on training or related fields at bus operator hearings, arbitrations, or trials.

• Re-trains bus operators as directed by disciplinary hearings on accidents or rule violations.
• Evaluates new equipment and changes in existing equipment and prepare data to be used as instruction criteria. (This material is distributed to bus operators when training on this equipment) outlines and checklists.

• Compiles and maintain "Training Subjects Manuals."
• Obtains and maintain appropriate certifications.
• Works with appropriate staff in the recruiting and selection process for bus operators.
• Works with passenger relations and planning department to provide ADA training for persons with disabilities.
• Represents GGT as necessary and assist in the structure and the presentation of the annual Regional Bus Roadeo.
• Instructs and monitor operation of G.F.I farebox and radio systems.
• Observes and monitor safe operation of vehicles by riding with operators, contact and correct operators on safety procedures.
• Issues infractions and/or discipline for violations of safety policy and procedures.
• Ensures employees under their supervision follow established safe work practices and obey all safety rules.
• Performs driver safety observations by riding on board buses or observing from a moving vehicle or fixed location and provide written reports on these observations; and issues discipline for safety violations observed.
• Knows and follows the safety and health rules and safe working practices applicable to his or her job.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with District employees, customers, vendors, and all others contacted during the course of work using principles of excellent customer service.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill one (1) full-time vacancy for the position of Clinical Supervisor I/II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). Tri-City’s MCCP is a 24/7 mobile crisis response team with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

The MCCP Clinical Supervisor I/II will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Clinical Supervisor I/II will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;
   
• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure.
   
•  Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;
   
•  Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;
   
•  Perform triage and linkages to non-client community members in the Tri-City catchment areas.
   
•  The Clinical Supervisor incumbent must be available for consultation during and following crisis calls  as well as to fill in when back-up is needed in the field during scheduled work hours.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for the position of Clinical Therapist II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

The specific shift and schedule will be determined by the supervisor; however, the first one to two months of training will follow a 5-day-per-week, 40-hour-per-week schedule

Examples of shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Field Monitors assist in the supervision and enforcement of rules, ordinances, and policies of City athletic fields, parks, and open spaces.
• Interacts in a positive and friendly manner with City staff, community members, organizations, and businesses daily.

Position requires sitting, standing, walking on level and unlevel or uneven and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties.   The position also requires both near and far vision; the need to lift, carry and push tools, equipment, and supplies weighing 55 pounds or more is also required.  Additionally, the incumbent in this outdoor position works in all weather conditions, including wet, hot, and cold.

DEFINITION 

As a Building Attendant, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of the Burlingame Community Center, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a hands-on individual with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

 

Hours: (Average 10-20 hours per week). 

Shifts include:
Monday-Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm
Monday-Friday: 2:30pm-9:15pm
Saturday/Sunday: 7:30am-1:15pm
Saturday/Sunday: 12:45pm-5:30pm
As needed: Private rentals as late as 2:00am

Shifts depends on special events and rentals.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  (include but are not limited to the following)
Opens and closes the building, provides excellent customer service, and maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Performs regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning windows and mirrors, restocking and sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash and recycling, and wiping down surfaces. Assists with event and class setup and takedown of tables, chairs, and equipment, operates audiovisual equipment, and ensures renters follow facility policies, completing final walk-through reports as needed. Staffs the front desk to greet visitors, answer questions, answer phones, take messages, and process registrations and sales.

 

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILLS:  
Knowledge of: Operation of a community center; department rules and policies; availability of current classes; basic mathematical functions; janitorial work (including but not limited to: glass and wall cleaning, dusting, trash pickup, restroom clean up, emptying of trash cans, cleaning of kitchen, etc.).

Ability to: Work independently, learn quickly, perform heavy manual labor; work extremely well with others, including customers, staff, contractors, and volunteers; explain policies and procedures clearly and concisely; read and understand English;

DESCRIPTION 

We are seeking a collaborative, proactive Revenue Operations Manager who will be responsible for the direction and management of the Public Services Division of the Finance Department! 

The primary focus of this position is to manage and provide oversight of Citywide Revenue Operations, including billing, delinquency processing, and collection duties; oversees tax collection, the issuance of licenses and regulatory permits; cashiering and the receipt of payments. The position leads and guides the Public Services Division’s staff of nine, and is an essential senior management position reporting to the Deputy Finance Director. 

  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Plans, organizes, and manages the operations and staff of the Public Services Division of the Finance Department.   

• Develops, implements, and monitors long-term plans, goals, and objectives focused on achieving the department’s mission and priorities.   

• Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, systems, and work processes to achieve annual objectives and service standards.  

• Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends appropriate services and staffing levels.  

• Provides leadership, supervision, and mentorship to staff to ensure a high-performance, customer service-oriented work environment.  

• Forecasts, monitors, and directs Citywide revenue collection; oversees delinquency reviews, collection activities, cashiering functions , and appeals of enforcement actions.  

• Administers the Utility Billing program, including initiation and termination of customer accounts, delinquency processing, collections, and lien recommendations.  

• Coordinates water and wastewater utility rate administration, including working with consultants on financial and cost of service studies, verifying research and recommendations, and presenting findings to the Finance and Public Works Directors, City Council workshops, and Proposition 218 hearings.  

• Administers and oversees tax programs, including Transient Occupancy Tax, Business Tax and Licensing; reviews renewals, remittances, and applications; conducts audits; and ensures compliance.  

• Administers and oversees the parking citation adjudication program, including administrative reviews, procurement of hearing officers, and scheduling and conduct of hearings for various local programs on contested citations.  

• Oversees billing and collection of False Alarm fines.  

• Monitors and evaluates the impact of proposed legislation and regulations; researches and recommends new policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with changing requirements.  

• Researches, prepares, and presents management studies, staff reports, and related documents to departmental leadership and City Council. 

• Manages procurement and contract administration for division programs and services, including development of RFPs, vendor selection, contract compliance, insurance requirements, and timely processing of vendor payments. 

• Provides staff assistance to the Deputy Finance Director; completes special projects as assigned; and represents the City at various meetings, workshops, and events. 

• Establishes and maintains appropriate internal controls; directs staff responsible for cash control, accounts receivable, revenue collection, and customer service.

THE POSITION: This limited term position supports the Youth and Family Services Bureau (YFSB) in the Police Department to strengthen and enhance services provided to Hayward families to keep youth positively engaged in the community and out of the juvenile justice system. The Lead Program Assistant works with YSFB mental health counselors to provide case management, life skills training, diversion, restorative justice, and other services.
The limited term position is dependent on ongoing funding for the program. Funding has already been secured through FY2026 (June 30, 2026) with the possibility of an extension or permanent funding in FY 2027.

The Lead Program Assistant is a Citywide classification; current vacancies exist in the Police Department however future citywide vacancies may be filled from this recruitment. You are:
