Tri-City is currently looking to fill multiple vacancies for ALL DEPARTMENTS. The Office Assistant position is for experienced clerical staff who will provide a variety of clerical and administrative program support duties within a behavioral health clinical setting. 

This position will perform the following essential duties, including, but not limited to:

• Performs a variety of office support duties related to the assigned work unit; gathers information from a variety of sources, including data systems and clients for the completion and processing of forms, records, and other documents; contacts individuals, other departments, or agencies to obtain additional information.

• Proofreads and checks files including charts and other documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with departmental policies; makes copies, schedules appointments, and types correspondences and memos.

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a forward-thinking and results-driven Budget Officer to play a pivotal leadership role in the Finance Department. This is a unique opportunity to shape the City’s financial planning and guide high-impact initiatives that support citywide service delivery and long-term fiscal sustainability.  

As the strategic leader of the City’s biennial budget process, the Budget Officer collaborates with all departments, provides key insights to executive leadership, and ensures transparent, data-informed decision-making. With the City currently implementing a new budget software, the successful candidate will take ownership of the system and be responsible for producing the final budget documents in both print and digital formats. As part of this effort, the Budget Officer will lead a refresh of the City’s performance measures, working with departments to integrate meaningful, outcome-focused metrics into the budget.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Budget Strategy, Development, and Reporting 

• Lead the development and administration of the City’s biennial Operating and Capital Improvement budgets

• Lead the development and administration of the City’s annual Cost Allocation Plan

• Streamline and improve the City’s Monthly Financial Report  

• Play a key role in the planning and implementation of the City’s future ERP system replacement 

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative processes

• Oversee capital asset budgeting and coordinate with departments on project funding and tracking  

• Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership 

• Develop tools and reports to improve transparency and decision-making across the organization

• Supervise and mentor direct report(s), fostering ownership, accountability, and professional growth

THE POSITION:

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking for Behavioral Health Specialists (BHS) for ALL DEPARTMENTS. The BHS will provide a variety of rehabilitative support services to clients to facilitate behavior modification, skill building, and self-care and safety in individual and/or group settings. 

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, family, and collateral rehabilitative support services to facilitate behavior modification including skill building, needs assessment, self-care/safety, and coping strategies and techniques; may provide case management services in the office and in the field.

• Develops, monitors, and evaluates client rehabilitative and case management goals and increases/decreases in targeted behavior according to client needs; monitors goal progress/regression.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to fill the position of Psychiatric Technician I/II whom will provide medication support services both in the field and at the office. This particular position is located within the Children & Family Services Clinic and will report to the Medication Support Team Manager & the Medication Support Services Supervisor. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community by providing all manner of adjunctive medication support services.

Psychiatric Technician I: This is the entry-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform routine medication monitoring, administration, and support, while learning Authority policies and procedures. 

Psychiatric Technician II: This is the journey-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the Psychiatric Technician I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.

• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.

• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.

• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.

• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is now actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor I or II to lead the MHSSA Grant Team within Tri-City's Child & Family Clinic. This position is a part of a newly federally funded MHSSA Grant Team set to end in December 2026  The Clinical Supervisor I/II position will report to the Clinical Program Manager and will supervise a four staff including Clinical Therapists and Mental Health Specialists.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with grant partners, assisting with partner meetings and meeting all grant requirements, i.e. data gathering, service implementation, maintaining ongoing collaboration and participating in trainings);

• Provide individual and group supervision to MHSSA Grant staff including clinicians and mental health support workers; train on Department of Mental Health documentation & review documentation to ensure compliance;

• Will provide guidance to subordinates on Agency philosophy, goals, objectives, policies and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review;

• Will participate in creating programs that will increase access to mental health services in locations throughout the community that are easily accessible for students and their families;

• Create and foster partnerships with the local school districts, County Office of Education and local charter schools;

• Work directly with or work with staff who work directly with at high-risk youth, foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, and youth who have been suspended or expelled from school and their families to provide culturally inclusive and relevant mental health services such as early intervention, suicide prevention, drop-out prevention, evidence based mental health practices and the development and coordination of service plans to address ongoing needs;

• Will assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs;

• Will analyze existing caseloads and forecast resource needs; May also carry a caseload;

• Will implement and ensure compliance with mandated documentation and quality assurance requirements to ensure efficient and effective operation of the unit in compliance with federal and state regulations;

• Participate in the monthly on-call rotation and provide crisis interview & assessments; and other duties as assigned.

POLICE OFFICER - Academy Graduate - $8,134 to $11,030 per month (up to $12,684 with incentives)

Police Officers can serve in patrol, traffic, investigations, and K-9 assignments. Other collateral opportunities include instructor positions (Firearms and Force Options Team), Regional SWAT, Mobile Field Force, 10851 Task Force, CSI, Regional Major Accident Investigation Team, Driving Team with firearms and force options team, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), FBI Safe Streets Task Force, SET Team, Drone Team, Social Media Team, Community Resource Officer, School Resource Officer, and Field Training Officers. Specialty assignments may add an additional 5% pay. 

Officers work 12-hour shifts as part of a team concept. Shift schedules include 4-10 and 3-12, which may be changed periodically as job assignments may be rotated among patrol, traffic, and criminal investigation.  Night shifts include 5% additional pay. 

EDUCATION:

Academy Graduates (no sworn experience) - High school diploma and a minimum of 45 units of college-level course work, in addition to graduation from a P.O.S.T. basic academy.

Academy Graduate candidates with an honorable discharge may be credited with up to 15 semester units for a minimum of 3 years of active duty in the U.S. Armed Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard).
