The City of Redwood City is recruiting for a dynamic individual to fill the position of ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City, Police Department invites you to apply for the position of Administrative Secretary. The incumbent will perform a variety of confidential and complex secretarial and administrative duties as the court liaison as well as providing support to the Investigations Unit.

Typical duties may include the following: interact professionally and effectively with judges, district attorneys, defense attorneys, court personnel, law enforcement personnel, outside agencies, and members of the public; provide administrative and operational support for court-related functions and law enforcement investigations within the Police Department; prepare, process, maintain, and distribute court documents, reports, subpoenas, warrants, confidential criminal justice information, and related records in accordance with department policies, legal requirements, and confidentiality standards; serve as a liaison between the Police Department, courts, the District Attorney’s Office, and other agencies regarding scheduling, case information, filings, warrants, subpoenas, records, procedural matters, and time-sensitive deadlines; ensure criminal cases are adequately prepared for court proceedings by reviewing, analyzing, and organizing reports, citations, case files, digital evidence, body-worn camera footage, surveillance video, photographs, audio recordings, and related investigative materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with legal, statutory, and departmental requirements; respond to complaints and requests for information regarding department procedures, court processes, instructions, precedents, and regulations; research, compile, and analyze data for special projects and reports; initiate, maintain, and audit files, records, and databases related to court operations, case management, evidence, warrants, and other department records; assist with records retention and compliance with applicable laws, policies, and confidentiality requirements; maintain and update manuals, policies, and resource materials; monitor compliance with court orders, subpoenas, and legal deadlines; exercise independent judgment and discretion while working in a fast-paced environment involving sensitive and confidential information; provide backup support to other Police Department administrative staff as needed; and perform related duties as assigned. Equipment Mechanic Assistant I: $61,235.20- $74,422.40

Equipment Mechanic Assistant II: $67,225.60- $81,640.00
 

Position Duties

This position is open until filled with the first review date of May 28, 2026.

The Fleet Management Division in Public Works Department is responsible for the management of the City’s fleet including comprehensive inspection, maintenance, repair, acquisition, and disposal. The City’s vehicle and equipment fleet currently consists of over 2,700 assets.

The Department of Public Works Fleet Management Division is recruiting to fill one (1) Equipment Mechanic Assistant I/II (EMA I/II) position. The EMA I/II is responsible for performing inspections, communicating with other staff and customers, servicing, installation of electronic electrical equipment, ordering parts, entering data in the fleet management system, road testing and diagnosing problems to make various repairs and adjustments on automotive, heavy truck and/or heavy equipment. While working under general supervision, the EMA I/II will be expected to perform safely and follow all rules required by the City of San Jose. These positions, depending on facility assignments, will require working various shift hours and overtime.

Equipment Mechanic Assistant (Parts) position orders, receives, and issues automotive, truck, and equipment parts. This position also researches and identifies selected parts for issue, stocks and verifies inventories, and utilizes the fleet database to manage inventories.

The City of Dixon is excited to announce the recruitment for one (1) full-time, regular position of Water Operator I. This position performs a variety of maintenance, operations, and repair work on the City's water distribution system, including pumps, mains, chlorinators, meters, and other equipment. 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Work is performed in a variety of different environments with exposure to varying weather conditions including high temperatures, rain, and wind. Work is performed with exposure to hazardous materials, smoke, gasses, and fumes; with exposure to hazards such as, moving machine parts and live electrical current; and exposure to loud and/or high frequency noise. Occasional performance of heavy manual labor; occasional standing or driving for long periods of time; use of a computer; occasional climbing, work at heights above 10 feet; working on ladders, bending, stooping, crawling, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive hand movement. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Constant use of overall color vision. Frequent grasping, holding, and reaching. Frequent contact with other staff, outside agencies and the general public; occasional working alone. Night, weekend, and holiday hours will be required on a rotating schedule for 24/7 standby and weekend/holiday rounds.

The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) is seeking an exceptional, process-orientated professional to serve as the Director of Housing Programs to assist with planning, organizing, managing, and providing administrative direction and oversight for all functions and activities of the Housing Programs Department which administers the various assistance programs the AHA operates. This is a fast-paced agency that seeks to meet the mission through a high level of accountability and transparency.

AHA is particularly interested in applications from candidates with a strong track record in a Housing Choice voucher program management in a HUD or PHA position.
